I mean, really I could just as easily say all of them because it most certainly feels as though I’ll be wanting to start at least 20 series.. on top of the (at least) 20 series that I started in 2022. ANYWAY! Let’s go!!
Thank you ever so much to Meeghan @ Meeghan Reads for giving us this prompt, amongst so many others. To see which series she’s promised to start this year (but also no pressure) go look!
📚 🚀 📚
The Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes (GR/SG) –
Avery Grambs has a plan for a better future: survive high school, win a scholarship, and get out. But her fortunes change in an instant when billionaire Tobias Hawthorne dies and leaves Avery virtually his entire fortune. The catch? Avery has no idea why — or even who Tobias Hawthorne is.
To receive her inheritance, Avery must move into sprawling, secret passage-filled Hawthorne House, where every room bears the old man’s touch — and his love of puzzles, riddles, and codes. Unfortunately for Avery, Hawthorne House is also occupied by the family that Tobias Hawthorne just dispossessed. This includes the four Hawthorne grandsons: dangerous, magnetic, brilliant boys who grew up with every expectation that one day, they would inherit billions. Heir apparent Grayson Hawthorne is convinced that Avery must be a conwoman, and he’s determined to take her down. His brother, Jameson, views her as their grandfather’s last hurrah: a twisted riddle, a puzzle to be solved. Caught in a world of wealth and privilege, with danger around every turn, Avery will have to play the game herself just to survive.
I have no idea if I’ll actually like this series or how much but it’s worth a try, right? I do want to get more into mysteries so I am definitely going to try this.

A Curse so Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer by GR/SG) –
Fall in love, break the curse.
It once seemed so easy to Prince Rhen, the heir to Emberfall. That was before he destroyed his castle, his family, and every last shred of hope.ÂNothing has ever been easy for Harper. With her father long gone, her mother dying, and her brother barely holding their family together while constantly underestimating her because of her cerebral palsy, she learned to be tough enough to survive. But when she tries to save someone else on the streets of Washington, DC, she’s instead somehow sucked into Rhen’s cursed world.ÂÂBreak the curse, save the kingdom.A prince? A monster? A curse? Harper doesn’t know where she is or what to believe. But as she spends time with Rhen in this enchanted land, she begins to understand what’s at stake. And as Rhen realizes Harper is not just another girl to charm, his hope comes flooding back. Furyborn by Claire Legrand (GR/SG) –
The stunningly original, must-read fantasy of 2018 follows two fiercely independent young women, centuries apart, who hold the power to save their world…or doom it.

To prove she is the Sun Queen, Rielle must endure seven elemental magic trials. If she fails, she will be executed…unless the trials kill her first.
One thousand years later, the legend of Queen Rielle is a fairy tale to Eliana Ferracora. A bounty hunter for the Undying Empire, Eliana believes herself untouchable–until her mother vanishes. To find her, Eliana joins a rebel captain and discovers that the evil at the empire’s heart is more terrible than she ever imagined.

I… have this as an arc and it is HIGH TIME that I get to it… so definitely this year! And now the series is completed which means I can just fly through all three!Â
