What I watched: March

MOVIES

MUST-WATCHES

• Blade 4 🧛🏿‍♂️ IMDb
  • Have never actually seen the trilogy so might as well!
  • So this is basically Marvel’s first movie? Why marvel was able to continue with all their superheroes?

• Blade II 4 🧛🏿‍♂️ IMDb
  • Great sequel! Loved it!
  • I really enjoyed the new characters – always game for anything Ron Perlman because I love him a lot.

REWATCHES

• The Lego Movie 5 👷🏻‍♂️ IMDb
  • I love this movie so so much. It’s so funny and I try to not think about it 😒
  • I love the Lego video games and these movies are just absolutely fantastic.
  • I never had Lego as a kid (I was a book kid 😂😂) so I never got into all the building thing but I think it’s a great idea and great thing for kids to do.

• The Lego Movie Part 2 5 👷🏻‍♂️IMDb
  • Benny the Spaceman is the best character in the entire world of all characters. And that’s that.
  • I really like how darker this movie is while still maintaining all the classic ‘kids movie” themes – proof you can make dark kids movies!

• The Lego Batman Movie 5 🦇🦸🏻‍♂️IMDb
  • Batman in the Lego MOVIE was utterly amazing and this movie is even better and everything I didn’t know I wanted from a Batman movie.
  • Like he sings a song and he takes the time to put a line in that says he’s 100% not Bruce Wayne? Literally none of the Batman adaptations could do this which means that Lego Batman is the best Batman ever because it shows everything that Batman always is.

THE REST

• Blade Trinity 2 🧛🏿‍♂️ IMDb
  • I really liked the first two movies, they were excellent. And then this happened and this happened and it felt like they didn’t spend enough time on the plot. It was messy.
  • It was funny to see Ryan Reynolds basically playing his normal personality but he’s like one of the few actors who’s allowed to do so.

SERIES FINISHED

  • I listened to the podcast before watching this. The TV show gives a lot more than the podcast and changed it a bit (for the show) but I really enjoyed the whole audio experience.
  • Can’t wait for the second season! Even though we’ll probably only get it next year 😭😭😭 Editing!DB here to say the dreaded Netflix curse strikes again and it’s not being renewed 😐
  • Of course it’s produced by James Wan, which meant I loved it a lot.
  • Loved the shots and the music but Wan’s movies had always had good soundtracks – score included.

• DMZ 🇺🇸 4 IMDb
  • I thought that this was like a longer mini-series – 8/10 episodes and it would feature more of the storylines but it’s only 4 episodes.
  • While I liked how it ended I would’ve also liked to have seen the storylines more fleshed out and what happened after the ending.
  • That’s why I wanted more episodes – I didn’t want to stop at the end. I wanted to go beyond.
