Top 5 (books with jewels) Tuesday

Just me going “is this a jewel” at some titles/covers 😆 It could just be a pretty coloured stone, right? But then again aren’t all jewels peetty coloured stones? 😂

Odsidian by Jennifer L Armentrout (GR/SG) – Yes, I know you’re thinking: “But DB, you utterly hated From Blood and Ash and wrote a long review about it” – I know, I know – she has to have written better books, right? All right, sure, maybe this alien series isn’t any better than whatever FBAA was (trying) to go for, but maybe it’ll be better?

Jade City by Fonda Lee (GR/SG) – All I’ve heard of this trilogy is that it will kill me emotionally so I’m super ready for that! But I think when I’ve done a few of the Randomising My TBR posts 😅

Beyond the Ruby Veil by Mara Fitzgerald (GR/SG) – Just peeked at the reviews and it’s mostly mixed but I’ll go into it with (hopefully) not too biased of an overview.

And hopefully either I really like it or it’s not a bad read for me.

Dragon Pearl by Yoon Ha Lee (GR/SG) – I thought I had this but it’s Phoenix Extravagant 😄

This is one of the Rick Riordan Presents books and I want to read all of them but of course I have no idea where to start 😅 It’ll probably be either this one or Tristan Strong.

The Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes (GR/SG) – I don’t know if the tiny gem/jewel on the cover has a big significance in the series but inheritance is in there so I’m assuming something happens.  

I’m interested in seeing how Cinderella is a comp for this book!

Who knows if there’ll be a resurgence in covers re jewels soon? I know in romance the big thing is illustrated covers (which I like) and YA is also doing an illustrated thing, so it’s all interesting to see.

What about you? Do you like to look at jewels on book covers? Some of them are really small so I chose jewels in titles. Either way, it works!
