Top 5 (books with thrones on the cover) Tuesday

Aka so many of YA fantasy books. Not that I’m complaining! Meeghan @ Meeghan Reads says thrones can either be on the cover or the title so I’m good to go! Except I want to go sit on these thrones. But then not really… rule, you know? Bad things happen to fantasy leaders I feel.

Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin (GR/SG) – I was listening to it but my loan expired and then I just didn’t renew it and I don’t know when I’ll get back to it. Honestly Martin is just a very average fantasy writer so who knows, maybe I’ll just rely on my tv show knowledge and make some fanboys’ eyes twitch as they realise they can’t faze me. But I definitely wouldn’t want to sit on this throne.

One Dark Throne by Kendare Blake (GR/SG) – Well, the first book has crowns on it so I couldn’t really show that, now can I? These books are… once again somewhere on my list. This sequel is 441st while the first book is 120th And apparently it’s a quartet? With confusing titles – One Dark Throne being the second book. Three Dark Crowns being the first book. Just me who’s confused by all of it?

The Jasmine Throne by Tasha Suri (GR/SG) – I know everyone was screaming about this last year but I get very confused with time and either immediately read new releases or read them two years after they’ve come out! But this looks super good!

Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas (GR/SG) – Is she still writing in this series? Or has she closed this series for now and is now focusing on ACOTAR and Crescent City or whatever that series is called? Maybe later this year I’ll begin… Maybe in like December or something.

For the Throne by Hannah F. Whitten (GR/SG) – One again with the sequel and also a book I desperately need to read before the second book comes out. Have you seen the covers for these? It’s so good!

Why are so many books with Throne in the title the second or later book? Is there a conspiracy? See, there’s an underlying theme for these Top 5 Tuesday posts and it’s all basically “More books than time, please send help”. I know, long theme, but I didn’t pick it. Whoever did should really be spoken to!
