Top 5 (Books I didn’t get to in 2021) Tuesday

There’s…a lot. So we better get started! If you want to see more of this “hey, you better get to this!” better go visit Meeghan @ Meeghan Reads and then also check out her post of this topic so you can see it all!

Let’s go and see what I should be ashamed of! Please note, I’m using the term ‘ashamed’ as a loose term because I don’t really allow myself to actually be ashamed of books I haven’t read. And you should also not be ashamed! Books are books! We’ll get to them when we get to them.

📚🚀📚

Only Mostly Devastated by Sophie Gonzales (GR/SG) – I read Gonzales’ new book with Cale Dietrich (If This Gets Out – absolutely superb) so now I want to read their other books! This book sounds so cute but also sounds like it could destroy me, which is definitely a favourite thing of mine.

One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston (GR/SG) – I really had plans to read this when it came out but oh well! It’s on the plan for this year! And now McQuiston is releasing another book, a YA debut romance which sounds super! This book features time travel and a sweet romance and I want to get to it!

Vespertine by Margeret Rogerson (GR/SG) – I read another of Rogerson’s books! An Enchantment of Ravens and I loved it so dearly! Definitely want to read this book as it’s about… a fighting nun? I have no idea but I know that I want to read this!

Small Favors by Erin A. Craig (GR/SG) – All I know about this is that it’s a Rumpelstiltskin retelling? I don’t know if the main character, Ellerie is Rumpelstiltskin, if she falls in love with him, if she kills him – absolutely no idea. But it still looks very interesting!

For the Wolf by Hannah F. Whitten (GR/SG) – Really need to get to this one and the second book I think is out this year? I really like this whole thing of the villain isn’t who you think it is. Like in Pan’s Labyrinth (my ultimate favourite movie) the ‘monsters’ are more human than the ‘humans’. This seems to be the same thing in this book. And a lot of people have really enjoyed reading this so I can’t wait.

📚🚀📚

There you have it! 5 of a very short list so I definitely want to get to these! What about you? What’s on your list for this year? Anything that matches mine? New or old books? Tell me!

  2. Sadly, the only one of these I have read is Only Mostly Devastated (which I loved), and the rest are… also on my TBR. We should just quit our jobs / study and read forever!!

Hi! I’m DB and I really like reading! I mean, of course I do – otherwise this wouldn’t be a book blog. It would be full of pictures of my cat. But come and look at whatever I’ve got on this blog!
