Top 5 (books of 2021) Tuesday

I’m still reading a bunch of books but here’s 5 books I really loved this year! Top 5 Tuesday is now being held over at Meeghan @ Meeghan Reads. I definitely urge you to go look at which books she enjoyed here!

House of Hollow by Krystal Sutherland (GR/SG) – I finished this in July and I’m still thinking about it! And I’ll probably be thinking about this NEXT YEAR. And then trying to get everyone else to read it too! I actually already got my sister to read it (she loved it!).

The Taking of Jake Livingston by Ryan Douglass (GR/SG) – I did actually read some new releases this year and I’m so happy this was one of them! It was so fantastic and I really liked the narrators and the story. It’s such a fantastic new release and I highly, highly recommend this.

Kingdom of the Wicked by Kerri Maniscalco (GR/SG) – I’m so glad I chose to read more audiobooks this year because a) they’re amazing, b) I went from 1x speed to 1.5 and up now (currently got one audiobook at 2x speed!!), and c) some narrators are truly fantastic. Including Marisa Calin – she was fantastic and I’m definitely keeping an eye out for her other works! I see she’s on the A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder audiobooks, Daughter of the Pirate King – both series I really want to get to!

All for the Game Series by Nora Sakavic (GR/SG) – Yes, I’m putting the entire trilogy on here. Because I read the entire trilogy super quickly this year. As in… I read the trilogy in just a couple of days. They are super quick to read and very easy to fly through them. Which I absolutely did. These are definitely books that read like fanfiction, which is one of my favourite things to see. I love this series so much and I love these characters so so much and as soon as I finished the trilogy, I wanted to start it all over again.

The Ones We’re Meant to Find by Joan He (GR/SG) – I tried to read this fast and then I realized this was definitely meant to be a slow read. So I took my time reading it and that was so worth it. I loved this book, loved its characters and story. The way it reached out and touched me with its message. The setting – with the dystopia sci-fi? Was so amazing.

There you go! 5 books I really loved this year! Sure, I’ve dnfed quite a couple of books this year so I’m really excited that I got to read some really good ones this year! What about you? Tell me about some top books you’ve read this year!
