Top 5 (new authors of 2021) Tuesday

I’ve read some new authors this year! Some have been good, others have been… bad. Let’s go through them! Meeghan @ Meeghan Reads is giving out the last of the December prompts and you should go see which authors are new to her this year!

📚🚀📚

Jennifer L. Armentrout – Thankfully, Meeghan allowed me to rant to her (and I’ll keep ranting for the other books in the Blood and Ash series). It’s uh, well, it’s not exactly the best book I’ve read, it’s probably near the worst. I’ll leave it at that because my review says everything I’m feeling (which will be posted soon). So why is she on here if I didn’t like reading the book? I had a lot of fun roasting the book! And well, now that I’ve read this book, it can go only up from here, right? Right?

Kerri Maniscalco – I keep meaning to get around to the Stalking Jack the Ripper series but you know how it is with tbrs and time – personally I think tbrs can smell fear and purposefully grows itself when you turn your back. But I loved the Kingdom of the Wicked series so I’m excited to read her other books!

Ryan Douglass – Very excited to see what Douglass has next to offer! The Taking of Jake Livingston was stellar and I’m eager to see more from the author.

F.T. Lukens – I have a trilogy that Lukens wrote on my shelf-of-soon. But I need to upgrade it to the ‘to-read-next’ shelf soon, I think. But I loved In Deeper Waters and I hope I’ll love the trilogy too!

Joan He – I read The Ones We’re Meant To Find earlier this year and it was so stunning. I really hope that I’ll like Descendants of the Crane!

📚🚀📚

It’s a quick one today! But that’s nice sometimes. Have you discovered any new authors this year? Which ones were they? Come chat with me!

  1. I haven’t read it yet, but Stalking Jack the ripper has been one I’ve been wanting to try.

I had many first timers this year! Rachel Lynn Solomon (We can’t keep meeting like this & Our year of maybe), Casey McQuiston (One last stop) & Frederik Backman (anxious people) would be a few!
