Top 5 (books with plants on the cover) Tuesday

I have some plants of my own! A cactus named Mike Wazowski, a succulent (pretty sure that’s it and not another cactus) named Sokkies (Afrikaans for socks) – a friend’s cat who’s named that likes to bite them off in their garden so I rescued 2 cuts! They grew! And then two other plants that are named Billy and Tommy – after I watched WandaVision. Do I remember to water them? Not a lot! But they don’t hold that against me 😄

And whenever I play Sims I just stack plants everywhere because it looks super pretty! Not that we have a ton of plants inside, but that’s why it’s called a SIMulation, right? 😂

Ok, no. Let’s carry on. Meeghan @ Meeghan Reads now has the task of coming up with all these awesome prompts and you can see which plants on books she’s chosen over here!

📚🚀📚

A Lesson in Vengeance - Victoria LeeA Lesson in Vengeance by Victoria Lee (GR/SG) – This sounds creepy and I’m very much into it. And apparently it looks like it’s turning out to be a hyped book! And the cover is gorgeous!

Tyler Johnson Was Here - Jay ColesTyler Jonhson Was Here by Jay Coles (GR/SG) – It’s such a beautiful cover and I know it’s sure to be a great story (if I just manage to read it sometime). I did look at the reviews, so I do think I will like it!

The Gilded Wolves - Roshani ChokshiThe Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi (GR/SG) My review – I just remembered this series ends this year and I’M NOT READY so I will be retreating to the corner where I can cry safely and just DENY that it’ll end.

These Violent Delights - Chloe GongThese Violent Delights by Chloe Gong (GR/SG) – I mean, I do know how Romeo and Juliet ends so… I’m right when I say that I want to wait to see what the ending of this, right? But also JUST in case the sequel ends differently… then I SHOULD pick this up 😉

House of Hollow - KrystalHouse of Hollow by Krystal Sutherland (GR/SG) – I finished this a bit ago and it was SO haunting and beautiful! Like I literally saw the book playing out in my mind. I also told my sister to read it and HAH, she did and LOVED it 😁

📚🚀📚

Me looking at the books “Is this a plant? Are trees plants?” 😂 Sometimes it can get a bit confusing, right? Are you fan of plants in general, or do you prefer to just stick to seeing them on book covers for fear you might kill them all? Cacti are great because they won’t resent you if you forget to water them 😄

What are some books with plants on the covers that you loved or really need to get to ? List them below!

  1. Ohh a lesson in vengence’s cover is so pretty 🥰 rofl yep- I think I did one of thoses for Top 10 Tuesday.. and I struggled with the same thing. What IS considered a plant??!

Aww sokkie is a really cute name! Though I do the very same thing in having plants everywhere in my sims house.. I have yet to pick up some. I did got a bonsai once- he died 🤭 ithink the fact I only really « own » one room that’s not properly lit by sunlight is what holds me x3 and im too lazy to get them out/in my room again everyday

    1. Right? Like…aren’t trees just… big plants? Or are trees in the plant family? What is even the distinction here

It’s a common name 😄 you know when cats are like white but then have black around their feet or vice versa? Those cats usually get called Sokkies because they’re ‘wearing socks’. My cat is fully black, so he doesn’t have that honour.
My mom’s cat’s feet are white but her one hind leg is ginger so that’s her ‘leg sleeve’

All my plants are outside on this old school desk a friend had for some reason. The sun doesn’t actually shine on them, So we just put them on the floor and let the sun hit them. Luckily the dogs don’t seem to be interested in it and the cats like to lie around more than touch the plants.

      1. Oooooh yesyes thatd make sense! Aww leg sleeves are adorable ❤️

Oh that’s good, otherwise it could be dangerous. My male would absolutely just- go and pee on them 🙃He’s fixed, but somehow he’ll just do so on ANYTHING you leave on the floor.
