Top 5 (books that would make a good montage scene) Tuesday

I’m a little behind so don’t mind me catching up! As usual, this prompt comes from Meeghan @ Meeghan Reads and you can read which books she’d think would make excellent montage scenes!

📚🚀📚

The Foxhole Court by Nora Sakavic – So I actually just reread this series (amazing and I sped through it so quickly 😭) But anyway – so I’m thinking a montage of the Foxes rising in ranks – shots of games, shots of shots or blocks – I love these type of montages. OR because Neil’s had so many identities over the years – a montage of his different identities in different places, maybe with a voiceover of his mom giving him advice or him like repeating his new name and new identities.

Fable by Adrienne Young – Yes, I’m talking about this book again 😅 I think it would be cool if we got a montage of Fable’s day-to-day life on the island before she gets onto the ship. Yes, it would be super boring. But I think that what would make it a good montage – it would be boring but that’s the point. We’d see it’s boring and want her to leave the place!

Inkheart by Cornelia Funke – So in this book, it’s possible to read something aloud in a book and have it appear in front of you or make it happen. I’d love montages of that – trying it out, seeing how the power works – like what can you bring out? Food? Money? How much? Could you just read financial columns and be rolling in the dough? Montages!!

Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead – Now that we’re getting a new adaptation it’ll be great to see some montages! Maybe one of Rose and Lissa on the run. Or of training! I always love seeing training montages.

Carry On by Rainbow Rowell – OK so with this one I’m thinking maybe a magic montage – showing what spells can do what (it could be cool if shot correctly!). Maybe a voiceover by one of the characters saying what spell it is? Or another montage (and I’m really loving this idea) of snapshots and moments of the years, focusing on Baz and Simon, of course. Like them seeing each other on every first day, then scowling at each other, Simon ranting that Baz is plotting against him! There are options, people!

City of Ghosts by Victoria Schwab – Cassidy’s parents filming for their new show would maybe be a good montage? Like them trying out new spots or maybe them going over lines? I’d also love a montage of Cass and Jacob just going along in their day – Jacob maybe trying to live like a human.

📚🚀📚

That was really fun! I actually thought I wouldn’t have any books to use but apparently I do! What kind of montages do you like in movies? What are some montages in books you can see happening? Chat to me down below in the comments!

About Me

Hi! I’m DB and I really like reading! I mean, of course I do – otherwise this wouldn’t be a book blog. It would be full of pictures of my cat. But come and look at whatever I’ve got on this blog!
