Top 5 (graphic novels) Tuesdays

I’ll admit – I haven’t read many graphic novels πŸ˜₯ But I’m trying! I think this year might be the year of audiobooks, but no one said the year can’t be 2 things! Maybe in the second half of the year? Or just maybe time should STAND STILL for a lil bit so we can catch up a bit with our tbr…

But let’s go talk about some graphic novels I loved reading! If you want to see some other Top 5 Tuesday prompts in the past, or what’s on the menu for the future, Meeghan @ Meeghan Reads is definitely where you should go! Also, check out her selection here, which I’m sure will be excellent!

Mooncakes by Suzanna Walker and Wendy Xu – If you’re looking for a sweet graphic novel, this is definitely the novel for you! It’s so sweet and so good at the same time?! I loved reading this (still, in fact, need to review this, but that’s another thing for another day).Β

Everything about this was so sweet πŸ’œΒ  It doesn’t seem to have a sequel but I’d love it so much if that were to happen. Or just, yanno, countless rereading of this will also be fine.Β

Nova and Tam are two super cute characters who deserve the world and I’ll do anything to give it to them 😭 I love it when books have food in them and this was definitely one of them!Β

The Avant-Guards, Vol. 1 by Carly Usdin, Noah Hayes (Illustrator) – I’m not one for sports, like, at all; but I’d totally go to all of these basketball games and even LEARN the right words to yell at the right times! And that is how you know it was a good book πŸ˜„

I loved the entire team so much? They’re all so incredibly cute and I’d really really want to be friends with them.Β

Fence Vol 1 by by C.S. Pacat (Goodreads Author), Johanna the Mad (Illustrator), Joana LaFuente (Colorist), Jim Campbell (Letterer) – I think once I get a good chunk of my arcs done 🀞🏼🀞🏼 I’m gonna read this entire series and NO ONE can stop me! In fact, I think everyone should just cheer me on πŸ˜„

Amazingly, this is another graphic novel about sports that I also wouldn’t mind watching! Fencing is super cool, anyway! And there’s also a YA novel about this now!Β

Yes, I only have 3 books on here 😭 a few of the graphic novels I’ve read haven’t been exactly great 😞 but that just means there’s room for more great ones! Tell me about good graphic novels you’ve read? Maybe you’ve read wayy more than me and maybe have good some good recs? Happy reading!
