What I Watched: March

Another month, another few titles off my list 😂 Once again, I really need someone to force me to watch titles I haven’t instead of titles I’ve watched before…

Rewatches

• Sinister 5 📽 IMDB/Letterboxd
  • This is one of my favourite horror movies. It’s got a good plot, is genuinely scary – even after having watched it a few times – seeing the villain – it’s still scary, still sends shivers through my spine.

• Sydney White 3 🎓 IMDB/Letterboxd
  • I can’t believe I forgot about this movie! I think a lot of people don’t even know about this or that it’s a modern adaptation of Snow White. It’s… very cringey 😂 but like I’ve said before, sometimes you just need that cringeyness (also is that the right spelling?)
  • Are Greek sororities such a huge thing as movies make them out to be? Like does it really ‘change your life for the better’ or does it only do that if you’re gorgeous/rich/have connections?
  • And why are all the members IN the sorority (that Sydney was in for a bit) white and blonde? Probably the whole stereotype thing, I guess?
  • Yeah, so she’s a tomboy and she has perfect hair, perfect eyebrows, super smooth legs… I don’t think they’ve ever met a real tomboy before.

• Wrong Turn 1 5 🌲🪓 IMDB/Letterboxd
  • I watched the first two a while back and realised I needed to finish the franchise a remake/reboot, whichever one, came out this year – so yay!
  • This is the best one in the franchise (so far). Sometimes you just need a gory movie, right? Not according to my mom 😂

• Wrong Turn 2 2 🌲🪓 IMDB/Letterboxd
  • Eesh. Super bad. Why did they have to add sex and nudity into a gory movie? 😄
  • Other than that, the plot isn’t anything to write home about. Maybe it could’ve been salvaged, but sequels are sometimes like that.

Must-Watches

• Moxie 5 ❌ IMDB/Letterboxd
  • I couldn’t WAIT TO WATCH THIS and I actually watched it ON the day it was released – which is a miracle for me as I hoard titles (and books 😄) like a dragon hoards its gold, PROMISING to watch titles…
  • Do teenagers really do these morning announcements in American schools? Like with the cameras and everything? We just had an intercom in every classroom and it was usually the receptionist (lovely lady) who did the announcements – if there were any morning announcements that weren’t spoken about in rows – or any announcements during the day. Sometimes a teacher would chime in if they had anything specific to say. Now and then a prefect if they also had something to say.
  • Loved loved LOVED THIS MOVIE SO MUCH. I’ll probably watch it again soon (instead of watching something new)
  • I think I read the book ages ago so I def wanna read it again. Soon!
  • I did, however, think that the secondary characters were a bit better than the main? Apparently other people also think that.
  • Nico Hiraga is so cute? And Seth is so sweet?

The Rest

• The Ruins 1 🏰 IMDB/Letterboxd
  • Why are there so many horror movies about white people going to ancient indigenous civilizations and the indigenous population always TELL THEM NOT TO and guess WHAT??? The trespassers DIE!!! Like… Maybe LISTEN to the indigenous population???
  • I would’ve liked this movie if more were explained?

• Wrong Turn 3: Left For Dead 3 🌲🪓 IMDB/Letterboxd
  • This wasn’t that bad. Better than the second one, by far; but still not super good. Hopefully the next ones will be!

Series

  • I SOBBED when I finished this and where are the cast’s awards or do I have to give them myself? Because I will!
  • I just really want to have a second season but I KNOW there won’t be, so I’ll just have to… rewatch it 😭 and cry all over again😭

• 911 Season 1 5 🚨 IMDB
  • I keep seeing clips all over tiktok 😂😄 So I finally decided to watch it.
  • I was immediately hooked and need to get back to watching the second season.

Once again… I watch very little 🤦‍♀️ Maybe I should make a post about what movies and series I need to get to 😂 warning, there will be a ton of anime because it’s usually easier to put on something I can follow via audio and I don’t like dubbed anime – the English audio doesn’t match up with the English subtitles and it annoys me endlessly.
