Ooh, this will be really interesting because I don’t really do a lot of re-rating, so I don’t know if I would really (re-rate). I love rereading, but usually I only reread books I loved or if I don’t remember much. I don’t reread to re-rate books.
So when I thought about books I would re-rate, I thought I would only have like 2, but I pushed out 4! Better than nothing, right?
Meeghan @ Meeghan Reads hosts this now and go look at the books she would want to re-rate!
The Selection by Kiera Cass – I’m a huge fan of allowing yourself to love cringey books, and when I read this series, I knew this would be one of them. But even though I love to have and read cringey stories, that doesn’t mean I should rate them highly, or at least that’s what I’m feeling. I… rated (I think) most of the series 5 stars 😄 but if I had to go back, I would maybe push it down to 3 or 4? I’ve evolved as a reader and therefore wouldn’t feel the same way about the series as before.
Coraline by Neil Gaiman – So I really really love the movie. And I think I was upset when I read and it wasn’t exactly what I had in mind 😄 I can’t even remember if I finished it or just rated it low because I was upset 😄
Twilight by Stephanie Meyer – I did have this rated highly, and then somewhere along the line re-rated the entire series 1 star? here’s the thing – I’ve realised I do really like this series 😄 I’m set to reread this series… the magic word is ‘soon’ 🤦♀️ but I’ll definitely re-rate it once I do.
Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs – I’ve always loved the covers of this series and decided to try the books out after seeing the movie. I don’t know if it was because I watched the movie first or if it wasn’t the right time for me or eve the right book. That’s why I’m wanting to revisit this book – and then the other books in the series – to see if anything will change.
There you go! Like I said, I was amazed to find four books, and probably more if I really look. Are there any books you want to revisit for the purpose of re-rating them? Have you re-rated a book? Tell me about it down below!
