See, now there’s one (amongst many) pro of physical books is being able to see the cover every time you close the book… not so much on an electronic copy 😅 But anyway! As usual, Meeghan @ Meeghan Reads now hosts this weekly prompt and you can go look which 2020 covers she loved the most over here!
Fence: Striking Distance by Sarah Rees Brennan, Johanna the Mad (Illustrations), C.S. Pacat (Creator) – Yes, I still have only read one (1) issue of this. Doesn’t mean I can’t absolutely fangirl over that cover!! Because I will! But look at this cover! Don’t you want to pick it up immediately?! All I’m saying is, this series would somehow work as a musical and I would just like to see that!
Put another Rand (or five, this year’s been rough) into a jar because I’m about to mention Cemetery Boys by Aiden Thomas again! If a tree was planted every time I mentioned this book, a really nice looking forest would be almost, probably, nearly half-full. I love this cover so much!
The Henna Wars by Adiba Jaigirdar – See, just by the cover you’d think it such a cute book but as you read the synopsis (and I’m sure, the actual book), it’s got layers – and I’m so liking that. And the cover (once again) is just so cute!
Faith: Taking Flight by Julie Murphy – I really like looking at this cover because it’s so cool! A plus-size superhero is not something you see everyday, but I’m so glad this book is here (and also hope it’s good, because I haven’t read it yet…)
A Curse of Roses by Diana Pinguicha – Normally I’m very wary of real people on book covers. Illustrations, yes please. But I really love this real person, as much as the synopsis.
Obviously this isn’t a full list of all the covers I liked. That would be far more 😆 I feel covers are just getting better and better as the years go by and I’m loving that. What about you? What are some covers you really liked this year? Come tell me!

I am feeling shamed that I didn’t have Fence or Cemetary Boys on my list!! I love them both so much. I also didn’t put Addie La Rue, which I definitely kicked myself for later.
