Top 5 (friend recommendations) Tuesday

One of the great things about blogging is the community. You read other people’s posts, what they’re reading or want to read. And usually either you have the same tastes in reading, or one of you starts reading what the other reads. Either the cover entices you or all their yelling about it makes you pick it up (which has happened many times).

Today’s prompt is all about friends! And the cool books they’ve recommended! Or just bloggers whose posts you rush to read (it’s a slight, slight tweaking of the prompt). Note, this is definitely not a complete list, so if I don’t mention you, please don’t think we’re not friends! Because we are! I’m the type of person that if we chat a few times, I consider us friends.

Meeghan @ Meehan Reads is where you can find the prompts for this month (well, this is the last November Tuesday prompt, but you know what I mean). Her post is over here.

Meeghan @ Meeghan Reads. We’re currently running for the longest buddy read with The Curseworkers Series by Holly Black 😅apparently there’s an entire Holly Black cinematic universe? Or like her faerie books are all in the same universe, I think. But I always love reading her posts and viewing her Instagram stories (she has 3!! cats and gorgeous shelves). Also, she loves Carry On (like me) and she has good reviews!

Posts: Boyfriend Material (review); Loveless (review); White Cat (review) – which makes me remember my review is very much overdue. Top 5 Tuesday November topics – I love doing these so much. So, you’re looking for a new Harry Potter… magic school! – always a good post to look at.

Clo @ Cuppa Clo – Super cool, great blog graphics, super great posts, she’s got it all. I love that she and Sam @ Fictionally Sam created Bookish Collision and Bookend Events – which are both great things.

Kal @ Reader Voracious. Has great reviews, amazing guides, and I’ve chosen some books I never saw myself picking up? More thriller type books – Rules for Vanishing, I Hope You’re Listening (which I have ready to read!)

Destiny @ Howling Libraries – I’ve added so many horror/thriller books to my list and that’s great. Not to mention tons of graphic novels too. I also love reading her weekly wrap-ups and watching her Booktube videos!

Cait @ Paper Fury. If you spend about 5 minutes in the book blogging community you’ll see Cait’s blog. Or her gorgeous shelves and amazing bookstagram pictures. Or her super funny tweets (which often go uncredited on various sites/pages, so if you see that happening, make the site credit Cait!).

I love Cait’s way of posting – her blogging voice – and how fierce she is in recommending and campaiging for people to read more books. I’m also afraid and in awe of the way she writes and reads. Go follow her Instagram stories – they’re amazing.

Michelle @ Michelle Likes Things – Every time I open an email from Michelle and it’s a list of recommendations I instantly open up Goodreads, because I know I’ll be addng basically all those titles.

Like I said at the start of the post, this is by no means a small post. At all. It’s more like the start of a 3 or 5 part series, or something like that. Point is, I’ve made friends in this community and I always love shouting about them.

I hope you liked this post! Please consider going to their blogs and support them! They all do amazing work and deserve to be seen/read/shouted about (choose your verb). Which bloggers are your favourite? Share some of them down in the comments and let’s share some joy!

    1. Thanks Meeghan! 💜 I loved your post too! It’s great to see how your reading are influenced by friends along the years.
My tbr has definitely increased thanks to being in the blogging community 😂
I mean… We could always push the buddy read to next year. Is that like the second or third year running? 😂or start another buddy read on top of it?
