We’re back! Meeghan @ Meeghan Reads has new prompts for October and this is the first prompt for October! Here’s her post if you want to see what she chose. Guess I actually stuck to 5 books! And one I haven’t read yet. The books are also less orange and more moving into other colours 😂 Top 5 Tuesday doesn’t always have to be rigid!
Disclaimer: The synopses are mine that I summarise from the Goodreads description.

The Foxhole Court by Nora Sakovic – Of COURSE this is the first book that comes to mind when I’m thinking of orange covers. And the paws are outlined in black, so I think that fits?! 😂
The Foxhole Court follows Neil Josten, who’s so totally devoted to Exy (a fictional sport that’s a mix between lacrosse and ice hockey, it seems) that he agrees to join the outcast Exy team, the Foxes. What happens next will shock you!
Listen, I love love love this series so much. I am utter trash for the characters and the crazy plot that happens. I think I might plan for the trilogy to be my first read of 2020 😂 Depending on where I am on the 31/1…
⭐⭐⭐
Chameleon Moon by RoAnna Sylver – RoAnna is definitely one of those auto-read authors for me and this is a favourite read, even though it’s a dystopian (I prefer dystopian movies/series to books). I loved all the characters so much. It’s mostly orange, right? What is colour, anyway!
Regan has to try to figure out what’s going on in Parole, and how, or if, it can be fixed, with the help of some new friends. Everything’s burning around them and what can be saved?
⭐⭐⭐
The Unspoken Name by A.K. Larkwood – Okay, so this isn’t exactly true orange. More gold, actually. But it’s really similar to orange!
I… have not read this yet! I have the arc, it has an intriguing tagline, so why aren’t I reading it? I have no idea. The reason why it’s here because A) I love this cover and B) I know I’ll love this because this is the exact type of thing I look for in an epic fantasy. I just need to get around to reading it!!
Csorwe travels with a mage in order to escape her old fate and hopefully find a new one. What will she find about herself along the way, and will she lose any of herself doing so?
⭐⭐⭐
The Wicker King by Kayla Ancrum – I realised I did not have many black and orange books that I either love or I know I’ll love, so here’s another black and gold book. I know, I’m not following the exact T5T rules, but I like being a rebel.
August and Jack are best friends, but when Jack starts to have hallucinations, August has to figure out what’s true and what’s not; and where does he fit in?
⭐⭐⭐
The Fiery Heart by Richelle Mead – I think I’m pretty sure this cover does actually fit the black and orange theme. But then again that’s why I don’t want to do rainbow shelves, because I’ll be so confused with which cover fits with which colour.
The Fiery Heart is the fourth book in the Bloodlines series. In this installment, Sydney’s sister is now staying with her and that’s only the tip of the stress-filled iceberg.
I love all the books in this series, even though I’m neither here nor there about people on the covers 😂

There you have it! 5 books that I really love (well, one I’m certain I’ll love) whose covers are black and orange-ish 😂 Did you spot any of your favourites in here? Tell me!

OH!! I loved The Foxhole Court!! I didn’t even think of that one!! I was just trawling my shelves in the orange and black sections for inspiration!! 😂
