Top 5 Tuesday – Favourite Characters and U – Z

Me writing this title: What comes after T? And how many letters is it this week? Of course if it’s the last week then it’ll be to Z!! Can you believe it’s our last week talking about our favourite characters? Honestly, I’m prepared to talk about The Gilded Wolves and its characters all the darn day long!

But enough about me! Let’s talk about the last group of characters! As usual, Meeghan @ Meeghan Reads is where you can find all the deets and her post.

Is it funny or cringey if I say that U (yes, you in text speak!) are my favourite character! So you should stay the fantastic U thst U are! Because there is no one Uer than U!

Okay, but otherwise, I haven’t actually read the books, but I do love Uma, from the Descendants trilogy! Disney movie musicals and all. She’s feisty, and I do love China McClain, and Uma’s personality!

Violet Baudelaire from A Series of Unfortunate Events is another favourite. Well, I love all the Baudelaire kids, but Violet is so cool because she can invent things! And she’s proud of doing this and she’s a girl – which I think is really dumb? That other people think that just because you’re a girl you can’t invent things?

I was all ready to say Winnie-the-Pooh here (because I was honestly blanking) when I remembered Willie from Running With Lions! Willie is such a great friend and has an amazing personality and voice! And he’s also really funny.

The only thing I can think of is the X-Men characters! I haven’t read any of the graphic novels, but I do have my favourites from the films (Wolverine and Nightcrawler). So I guess this fits by favourites? Yes, of course I’ll get around to reading some X-Men comics… you know, after I finish my one mountain of books.

I’ve been waiting a long time to get to this letter, because the Y stands for YADRIEL from the one, the only, Cemetery Boys! I had Julian by the J (because he is truly a j(g)em), and now we can have Yadriel!! Cemetery Boys is one of the best books I’ve read this year (if not ever) and Yadriel was such a fantastic character. He’s true to himself and knows who he is (which, I think, we either know, or we’re trying to figure out), and he’s not afraid to speak his mind.

Zofia, Zofia, Zooofffiaaaa. Ok, this is the last time I’ll be speaking about The Gilded Wolves and it’s honestly a crying shame. Zofia is my absolutely favourite character in the series (even though I’m saying I don’t play favouries…). She is such a sweetheart and has great lines and I just love her so much.

Ok, so I haven’t read the series in ages (I read most of it in high school, probably when I shouldn’t have 😂😂), but Zsadist from Lover Awakened is definitely one of my favourites – especially in the Black Dagger Brotherhood. I’m sure most of us who have read the series has their favourites. He’s one of mine – his story is a sad one and that forces him to build up all these walls. He’s just a good character who’s gone through a lot – like a lot a lot.

I just realised September is a 30 day month and it made me sad. Why can’t ALL months be 31? But anyway, did you realise there are characters with names starting with X or Z? Because that was really hard 😂 Tell me some of your favourites down below in the comments!
