Hi all! Yes, this is a lil late, but that’s ok! I’m here! This is still here! It’s still September! Okay, let’s get on to it! Once again, Meeghan @ Meeghan Reads now hosts these prompts! Go read her list of characters P – T!

The only character here is my fave, my SON – PERCY JACKSON, from the super super underrated, Percy Jackson and the Olympians book series! This is probably the first time you’ve heard of this book, it follows a boy (definitely not Percy) as he finds out that his dad is the least normal Dad ever – because he’s actually Poseidon, as in the Greek God of the Sea.
There’s a couple of reasons why I love Percy. His wit, the way he speaks directly to the audience in the book. His fierce loyalty. His knack for getting into so much trouble, whether he means to or not. But the main reason why I love him is because he has ADHD and dyslexia!! But I just have ADHD, so I’ll just say that seeing a book where basically all the characters (aka most demigods we see) have ADHD and they talk about having it. It’s just mentioned casually and it’s also seen as something that helps the demigods, instead of hindering them. Which I think is so very important for young readers to read – to be able to see themselves in the characters, and then believing in themselves.

Okay, this was a hard one, but I think I got it! It’s been a while since I’ve read/watched any Narnia, but both Pensive sisters are Queens! So, High Queen Susan the Gentle, and Queen Lucy the Valiant. Bam, loophole! Well, they’re titles and not nicknames, but a title is sort of a nickname, no?

If we were talking about characters from tv series, then NATURALLY, Rory Williams from Doctor Who goes here because he is the best. Does he still count if there’s novelisations of the series? Is he even in them?
I mean, OBVIOUSLY you have to mention Rose Hathaway!! She’s such a badass and feisty and so good at taking down the bad guys in Vampire Academy.

Séverin Montagnet-Alarie – even though he can be a bit, well, rude, and broods way too much for a teenager (he is still is a teen, right?); he definitely counts as a favourite. He cares a lot about his family team, even though he doesn’t want to show it at ALL. Don’t worry, Sév, your secret is safe with me. Well, and everyone who’s reading this?!
S is also for Sydney Sage!! From the super great series known as Bloodlines. When we first meet her in the fourth book in the Vampire Academy books (is it the fourth book? I’m pretty sure it is) I did not like her at all. I found her utterly boring. But then she grew on me. And then I started to read the spin-off series, and then I really started to love her.
Simon Snow, come and get your prize! It’s Baz, you numpty. Simon is from Carry On, a book I am really hoping to have the review out by the end of the year 🤦🏻♀️ Of course I have to have Simon here if Baz is by the B’s, The Chosen One’s by the S’s. And also because I just love him and his narrative.

Tristan!! Listen – even though he loves spiders, I still love him. He creates such gorgeous gardens and objects in The Gilded Wolves and I’d love to see them.
Titania is one of my favourite characters and she’s a sentient warship because that’s how we run. If there’s ever a fictional universe I have to choose to live in, I’m choosing the one she’s in. Hopefully I’ll be able to avoid all the war. Or maybe I won’t. Who knows?

Tell me your favourite characters down below! Do you share any of mine? I think I might do a VA reread over the holidays because I am having a massive craving.
