I am in the southern hemisphere, and while it’s currently WARM and SUNNY, you also can’t walk in the house without socks on – why oh why – and we’ve also had about two cold fronts and I’m so so ready for the warmer months. But it does also mean wood in the fireplace! And marshmallows!!
It’s also actually Thursday here, but it’s okay. Not like we haven’t posted a TTT on another day 😂 Also, this might be more than 10, just saying. TTT linkup here.
Cemetery Boys by Aidan Thomas – I know I keep talking about how I really want to read this book, and I have the arc, so I could literally read it at any time, but also I kinda also want to wait until I have all my currently reading books done 😥😆
The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas – It’s HIGH HIGH time I get around to reading this book. I’ve watched the movie, but you know, it’s sort of more accepted to read the book before watching the movie.
The Rest of Us Just Live Here by Patrick Ness – I LOVED Release and I really want to carry on with another Ness book. I like the synopsis of this – which is why I want to start with this instead of like Chaos Walking or something 😄
Why I’m No Longer Talking to White People About Race by Reni Eddo-Lodge – I’ve heard about this book for a long time and I’m really needing to start it! I think it’s really important to read books like this – and not just now, but when a lot of events such as the protests and everything aren’t in the news as heavily as before. Just because everyone isn’t talking about it doesn’t mean the topic is no longer relevant.
You Asked For Perfect by Laura Silverman – I’ve had this arc for uhhhh a while 😂 and while I think it’ll be a sweet contemp, I also get the feeling it’ll be sad? So I don’t know if I want that. I mean, yes, I definitely want to read this, but also like, lemme protect my emotions, yanno?
Between the World and Me by Ta-Nehisi Coates – I’ve seen Ta-Nehisi’s other books on my feed – well, mostly The Water Dancer (which I also really want to read). He’s also written a Black Panther graphic novel?? Which I’m also liking 😁
The Unspoken Name by A.K. Larkwood – Another case of ‘Have the arc for a whole long time and haven’t gotten around to reading it.’ I’m excited for this one as it’s an epic fantasy!!
Beyond the Black Door by A.M. Strickland – EVERY TIME I’m like: “Oh, yes, I’ll read this book asap! Apparently I don’t know the meaning of asap!
The Never-Tilting World by Rin Chupeco – I wanted to start my Rin reading by reading The Girl From the Well (which I still want to do), but I really like the premise of this one, so I think I’ll start with this one and make my way to the other books.
Tyler Johnson Was Here by Jay Coles – I HAVE this book, which means I can finally stop talking about how I want to read it, want to read it, and just read it!
With these types of things – Top Ten or 5 Books etc etc, I always think I’m going to list like 20?? And then I end up listen EXACTLY 10? Like am I bad at Maths? ? Absolutely.
Which books on this tbr are you interested in? Tell me down below in the comments!
Cemetery Boys was on my list, too. Hope we both like it.
