Wahey there! Do you know what I love more than reading?? People asking me what books I want 😁 Here’s the post if you want to read more about Bookending Winter!

Christmas book Wishlist
Prompt Explanation: Christmas is only a few days away, so it’s time to make a list of the books you’d love to get under the tree! Maybe you’ll even get some!
Normally, when my family asks my mom what I want for my birthday/Christmas (because they’ve obviously never heard of just asking the person in question…) she answers with a “either something to do with cats or a book.” That’s when I pop in with ‘book voucher’ because when my family tries to get me a book…it’s usually something that you can see they just walked into the bookshop and went straight (and a sad emphasis on that) to the bestselling table; or you get a very obscure Christian romance book (not that I’m saying there is anything wrong with those types of books. It’s just that I grew up with a steady dose of fantasy and would so much rather read 2000 pages about sword fights and MAGIC rather than like 300 pages about a couple I knew would get together in the first chapter and the book’s all about the main character speaking softly and demurely because how else does a woman speak?).
But you know!! Enough of that! Let’s carry on to the books I WISH people would buy for me!! I’ll try to keep it to a couple (is ten a good amount? What about 50?) and books that are either already out!! I’ll keep the 2020 books for the 2020 anticipated releases (I have a tag scheduled in January for that!).
* The series will just show the first title’s cover image, but be linked to the series’ Goodreads page.
Sick Kids in Love by Hannah Moskowitz – This was definitely a favourite arc of mine and I would LOVE to have it on my bookshelf.
The Guinevere Deception by Kiersten White – I’m back, talking about this book again. LISTEN, I just wanna READ it!!
The Beautiful by Renée Adieh – I just finished this the other day (18th) and OMG like I am ready for the second book and I just loved this one so much?? Like please let me be in the Court of Lions.
Rules for Vanishing by Kate Alice Marshall – I mean, this one is just AMAZING and SPOOKY and YES.
Reverie by Ryan La Sala – Like, listen, if you’re not following Ryan on Twitter, you’re missing out. And like?? A drag queen sorceress?? There with three bells on!
The Celestial Trilogy by Sangu Mandanna – I mean, duh!! This series is absolutely amazing and definitely should be read by more people!
Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston – OF COURSE??? Like wouldn’t you want Alex and Henry for Christmas?
Patron Saints of Nothing by Randy Ribay – This was definitely a favourite of mine!! I loved reading about Jay and his family.
Natalie Tan’s Book of Luck and Fortune by Roselle Lim – That cover?? And it’s about food??
The Black Flamingo by Dean Atta – Okay I LOVE this cover and also this is a story TOLD in VERSE about a boy who becomes a DRAG QUEEN?? GImme!!
The Wicker King by K. Ancrum – I just… this book!!! With the foil?? And the characters? Catch me sleeping with this under my pillow so I can slowly melt into the book.
Ignite the Stars series by Maura Milan – I just finished the second book yesterday and ???? It was a great ending but also I need like 5 more books in the series.
Hopefully I’ll start getting some of these books – probably first have to get more bookshelves. Or just keep books in every room and then when people come over I can recommend them books (but like… should I allow them to borrow it since I lent Chamber of Secrets to a friend in HIGH SCHOOL (2013 maybe??) and I’ve never really seen her again.
What are some of the books you wished people would listen to you about when they ask what to buy you? Tell me down below as I’d love to hear them!
