I read 4 books before the 11th and wow, that’s really cool haha. For the whole of September, however, I read 8!!!!! books this month, and liked all of them pretty well.
Read:
Fence by C.S. Pacat, Johanna the Mad (Illustrator) – 5 ⭐ So short but I know that there’s like 13 volumes or something so I’m excited about it!
Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston – 5 ⭐ THIS BOOK THIS BOOK AHHHH I lovedddddd this book so much. If you’re looking for a great New Adult LGBTQ+ book – this is THE BOOK for you.
All Out: The No-Longer-Secret Stories of Queer Teens Throughout the Ages by Saundra Mitchell (Editor) – 4 ⭐ I really liked all the different writing styles in this – which is the whole idea of an anthology I suppose.
Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan – 4 ⭐I loved the movie so hoped I would like the book, and I did! I’ll probably pick up the sequel uhhh soon??
The Wicker King by K. Ancrum – 5 ⭐ ALL THE STARS. JUST !!!!! THIS BOOK!!!! i JUST?????
The Confectioner’s Guild by Claire Luana – 4 ⭐ This one started off a bit boring but I did really like it in the end.
Peter Darling by Austin Chant – 4 ⭐ Loved this book! It’s a new favourite retelling (I do need to read more retellings as well)
Scythe by Neal Shusterman – 4 ⭐- This book!! I would walk and read it – as in outside, which is dangerous to do, not even because you lose focus on your surroundings, can confirm, but mostly because there’s people outside, imagine that; and this book had me going wtf?? At the characters (especially one in particular, hated his guts), and you know – that might seem a bit crazy to people who don’t read all the time 🤷🏻♀️ but I did really like this book, especially for the storyline and worldbuilding – oh my goodness the worldbuilding 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Currently reading:
A Spark of White Fire by Sangu Mandanna – I’ll probably finish this one in the next few days, don’t get me wrong – I love this book, but it gets a little difficult to juggle like 4 or 6 books you’re currently reading. But you know, I love reading tons of books at the same time.
Carry On by Rainbow Rowell – THIS THIS THIS. I love this book and was able to loan it from the library, but now have to wait for like 6 or something weeks for Wayward Son 😭😭😭 but that’s PERFECTLY FINE, because that means TIME TO READ my other books. P.S. At the time of my writing this, I was still busy with Carry On. But I finished it and forgot to edit the post. ahaha, classic DB.
Here There Are Monsters by Amelinda Bérubé – For some reason, I like to read this when I’m in my bed, curled up under the blankets, in the dead of night?? And it’s working great.
How to Be Remy Cameron by Julian Winters – !! This is excellent, read it.

What I’ve listened to:
Finally made a playlist for September – the mood of september – because I just wanted to. Some are songs that I listened to over and over again (Sam Smith, Hozier), others are ones I heard recently and really liked – Saturday Sun by Vance Joy, Prom Queen by Molly Kate Kestner. Feel free to friend me on Spotify! If you want to see me add random playlists and listen to the same song over and over again.
Post Malone’s new album – Hollywood’s Bleeding – had pretty good songs – Hollywood’s Bleeding, Enemies, Allergic, I’m Gonna Be – those were my favourite out of the album.
I uhhh FINALLY listened to my first Hamilton song (yes, I’m super late, but we’ve established this, this is okay) – the song was Non-Stop and I think I’m becoming obsessed with the musical.
Two songs I definitely!! want to point out is Prom Queen by Molly Kate Kestner and Home Morgxn ft Walk the Moon. Both are excellent.
Other blog related things:
I was wanting to change my theme but decided to stay with it because I do like it. Though I do have to go back and link all reviews in whichever posts I mention them in 😂
I am slowly working on Booktube things? I have filmed my first video, still have to work out the editing and film more videos, but I am planning on posting the first video in October! I’m very excited for this – I’ve been wanting to do this for a while now, thought I’d have to have tons of equipment, but a quick look-around tells me no. I think part of the reason why I’m so excited to do this is because it’s another platform to talk about books? And I’ve been watching booktube since I started my blog, so I really love it! And it’s a chance to learn new skills and gain more friends!
I finally signed up to be a Book Depository Affiliate – which is why I’m glad I’ll be redoing my posts, as I’ll go through them and add buy links. I’m also wanting to make a ko-fi and patreon account, but I think that’ll probably come in at the end of the year, but I’ll be doing my research, especially of the patreon side of things.
I’m really excited about all the things coming up, and it’s so close!!! to Bookending Autumn 2019!! Announcement Bookend Events Twitter
Hope everyone is well and had a great (but quick) September and LET’S GET ON TO OCTOBER. TONS OF SPOOKY MOVIES TO WATCH.
