What did you recently finish reading?

Recently Finished:

A List of Cages – I LOVED LOVED LOVED this book so much and Adam and Julian are just too precious and total brothers. I loved their dynamic with each other and it’s such a good book.

Little Fires Everywhere – THIS BOOK was just SO AMAZING. Celeste Ng is just fantastic with family dynamics and writing that pulls you in and just doesn’t let you go and I’m here for that.

Patron Saints of Nothing – WOW JUST LIKE WOW, if you haven’t read this book yet, please please read this because it is just such a good book – and if you have read this and loved it, definitely tell me in the comments.

Currently Reading:

A Spark of White Fire – this is a reread, because the sequel will be out soon! I’m still in the early days with this one but I am loving it, so, if you haven’t read this book yet – please do because it is amazing!

The Confectioner’s Guild – I’m 20% in this one and it’s cute, not much re the mystery part has happened yet so I’m waiting for that.

All Out: The No-Longer Secret Stories of Queer Teens throughout the Ages – There’s so many stories in here? Not that I’m complaining at all. It’s a great collection of stories and I’ve found a few favourites and will go see if those authors have any more good books.

Saint Young Men – I keep forgetting to read by manga rules – as this is my first manga read – so I have to read it slower because I have to remind myself of how to read it. I love the characters in this one, really like the concept and hope to finish this soon!

Read Next

How to be Remy Cameron – August is AWFUL because it’s felt like just three days??? but this is coming out soon and I’m super super excited for this to come out and for me to actually read it (by the due date)

A House of Rage and Sorrow – As I mentioned above, this comes out soon, and I’m planning to read it before it releases (I say this now)

Here There Are Monsters – Honestly her covers??? and the synopses?? amazing fantastic how even.

 

Yay!! Hopefully I’ll get to my read nexts soon because they sound super super cool and I wanna read them like NOW.

  2. I just finished A Spark of White Fire last night and O.M.G!!!! I can’t wait to read the sequel, I have to at least wait like two weeks before starting it though as I need to get through so much lol, I can’t wait to hear what you think of it!

  3. I’ve wanted to read A List of Cages for the longest time but it feels like the type of book that would break your heart and I’m not ready for that. I’m excited for How To Be Remy Cameron

    1. A List of Cages is fantastic but it is a book that can break your heart, so if you do read it make sure to practice self-care or be able to keep the book for a few weeks or something so you can go back to it.

  4. Oh my god, someone recently recommended me The Confectioner’s Guild when I was talking about small scale, more slice of life fantasy books. Definitely curious to hear more about that one.

    So many good covers, too.
