NaNoWriMo
Happy 1st of November!! It’s a new month and I’m excited to try new things!
As I mentioned in my The Veil is Thin post, I’m entering NaNoWriMo. National Novel Writing Month. It’s about writing 50k (the average for a novel, I think) in a month. But because I’ve already written 12k!! of it and I’m probably thinking it’ll be closer to 100k, I’m gonna shoot for the stars and try to reach 100k in a month. If I do, that’ll be excellent and if I don’t, it’ll be fine too.
My wip, previously discussed in my Rising Author tag, is a YA Urban Fantasy novel – I realised the other week it’s an urban fantasy.
Title: Here Be Giants: The Sacred Scrolls
Synopsis: Des, a battle-mage Bounty Hunter picks up Pierce, a normal kid who’d rather work in the garden than travel on the road; after taking back The Sacred Scrolls (which contain important information and facts about the kingdom).

Yes, it’s a short post but it’s me telling you I’ll be super busy! I’ll try to post regularly this month, so hopefully I keep that promise.
I’m really excited about this wip (I’ve been excited ever since I started thinking about the idea – which is super cool as it means I really want to finish it). I’m super excited to see what this month will bring in terms of words and can’t wait to see my story unfold!

Damn, 100k words in a month?! That’s a pretty lofty goal. I don’t know how I’m even going to hit 50,000! Good luck with your novel, it’s gonna be a fun month.

Best of luck with NaNo!! *sends you all the encouraging cake* It’s such a FUN time, right?! I’m not starting till later but I swear I get so hyped for this month 😂I hope your book behaves and you’re getting some great word counts in!

Also, how do you make your wip write itself as you’re sleeping? Because I definitely need that! 😭😭
